The viewer is looking towards the ground floor of the water garden facade of the palace. In the basin , the Corps de Logis said building is reflected. To the left the north wing is indicated.

The early paintings by Berti are distinguished by a smooth mpressionist style of painting and wonderful pastel tones which appear strong though.

Born in Padua artist Renato Berti is also known by his pseudonym René Ribet. He was the second child of Giuseppe Marianno Pio Berti, founding owner of one of the town's leading and most prestigious artistic foundries, and Teresa Randi, daughter of a cultured and wealthy Paduan family.

Renato Berti enjoyed a peaceful childhood of ease and comfort in the city of his birth. He went to the local State school where they earned good marks and where he revealed his passion for drawing.

He lived from about 1910 to 1938 in Paris , where he was a member of the Societé National des Beaux -Arts. In 1938 he returned to Italy where he died in Vicenza the following year.
